“Two go in, and one comes out” is the start to a dark nursery rhyme that everyone in town knows “The one who comes out isn’t the same” it says, “because they’ve played the tunnel’s game.” There is an old tunnel deep in the woods behind town and countless stories and legends have been based around it, all of which end horribly. The Tunnel is said to trick your mind, anyone who has seen it goes in with someone they love, only to loose that person. I know someone who lost someone they loved. They’ve changed since that terrible moment. Depression has completely transformed them. You go in to fight your fears, only to find out it’s not just fears you’re fighting. They could appear as the monster under your bed or your bully transformed. You think it’s imaginary you think it’s fake. But only when it’s too late, do you realize it wasn’t a game. “You’ve hurt someone you care about.” “You’re a monster” “horrible human” the thoughts haunt you. Be careful the next time you want to test a legend because you never know what you’re walking into. You’ve been warned.
