POEM STARTER
Write a blank verse poem on a topic that's important to you.
Blank verse poetry doesn't rhyme, but has a very strict structure which builds a melody through rhythm. (One way to create this is to structure each line with the same amount of syllables, and the same syllabic stresses, like you might if you were writing the verses of a song.)
Unity
United We Stand Divided We Fall
Nations torn apart with little to no hope of perfect Harmony
Playing judge and jury convicting everyone but self
Look into the mirror who do u see
Are u the one making that change
Step into reality try practicing what u preach
Make that stand if not for another please do it for you
We’re all created equally but somehow placed in categories expected to believe all but the truth
That no one really cares
The only time it matters is when it’s happening to you
Lead by example make that stand
Or fall for anything
Be somebody who deserves looking up to
Fight to make a change
Do something meaningful while u still have life
Or ur time here was a waste
Now tell me how does it feel to think someone is judging u
