POEM STARTER
Using twelve stanzas, write a poem about each month of the year.
The Seasons
January
Chilled and cold
My fingers froze
I feel nothing I may hold
Not even a rose
February
Warming up a bit
Love is in the air
Oh with bees the air be lit
And the blooms do be fare
March
Its St. Patrick Day
Green is what people wear
And outside their starting to play
All that winter we had to bare
April
It’s finally spring
And easter is so soon
And how the birds they sing
They sing a happy toon
May
Is almost summer
Schools almost out
Sure that won’t be a bummer
No child will want to pout
June
Summers here
Schools out
Shout a cheer
Fun is what it’s about
July
Ok now it’s hot
Just a little bit
Ok never mind,a lot
But how pretty the sky be lit
August
Summers almost over
I wish that it would cool
We see the birds fly right over
And now it’s time for school
September
Schools now enrolled
Parents filled with glee
At camping story’s told
How fun that that all be
October
Halloween is here
Time to stock up on candy
There is many things to fear
But sweets do come in handy
November
It’s the middle of fall
Thanksgiving has come
Decorations down every hall
And music we all hum
December
It’s cold
But it’s Christmas now
And the story’s are told
Of Santa and everyone says WoW
