POEM STARTER
In a poem, write about a love triangle between three people.
Will you write from each person's perspective with unique voices, or omnisciently tell the whole story?
two birds and one fox
The Sparrow
Leather and mahogany A blissful dream of red wine and paint She traverses the mind of her lover The allure of her aroma Drawing The Fox inward She delivers pleasure and joys And stands innocent Quietly unaware To The Fox’s true nature
The Raven
Dark-feathered and willowy The first recipient of The Fox’s love The bearer of the horrors he brought With eyes of ink she watches The Sparrow stumble into the same love She once thought was hers Yet there is no resentment No vile grip of jealousy Only understanding
_The Fox _
“Deeply misunderstood,” They say “Boys will be boys” Another added The Fox sat soundly With luxuries and pleasure at his feet His mind drenched in entertainment Seeking something he could not find Neither in the Sparrow Nor the Raven Cunning, deceitful, merciless— He has become a shell of nothingness Unfeeling
