POEM STARTER

“Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes,

but nothing hurts as much as little words turned lies'

Use this stanza as either part of, or inspiration for a poem.

Skies, Eyes, Lies

Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes

But nothing hurts as much as little words turned lies.

You wanted me to believe each word frailed upon your lips,

the ones that touch upon mine like lying is not what you do.

But you lie all the time to me and it covers the sun,

Where the rain threatens to pull down my cheeks.

Then they do and they leave a stream of makeup drizzle,

Because it’s settled in my heart that the skies are covered

With what is grey clouds that is about to bring a storm.

But no storm can be compared to those words that spill,

from those tainted blood stained lips.

Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at mine not your eyes

And nothing hurts as much as little words turned lies.

Leaving me to believe whether you loved me truly or not at all.
