Write a poem of story that could be titled 'I'm upside down'.
“Im Upside Down”
My heart, is left yearning
yearning for love, yearning for reason
there are more fish in the sea, my mother tells me
but each time I swim out into the great blue, Im left drowning; stuck.
My arms lash out at the violent waters.
Trying to keep my limp, but determined, body afloat.
It’s no good.
I am slowly pulled down by the force of the darkness; the bottomless depth of the sea.
why can’t I find love, when I know it’s all that I need.
head first I sink to the bottom, juggling loneliness as well as acceptance.
I find myself in the midst of love, and aquire the fact that my view upon this tenderness and care is possibly incorrect.
the world is correct; my head is wrong.
The world is right side up, and I’m upside down.
I am meant for this earth, and I am meant for love.
I need to flip my head back into the right direction, and understand those words.
I am not meant to dive head first into the rapid waters, risking it all.
I am meant to set sail, riding-out the indecisive waves, and wait for love to stabilize me.
wait for love to keep me calm in the chaos;
keep me afloat but keep me from going anywhere else.
I wait for it to anchor me.
