STORY STARTER

Your protagonist has been feeling off all day, like something is coming. It isn't until they get home that they realize what was making them feel this way...
Money Bags
Kyleen stood up from her rolling chair and took a deep breath. Once again, restlessness caught up with her. Stupid feelings.
"See you tomorrow, Ky!" Stephen shouted across the office.
She twists her head, forces a smile, and leaves her way-too-small cubicle. Leaving the building completely was easy. Going home after leaving the building was the single hardest thing she's ever done. Yes, even harder than staying up late working on some high-stake project for a raise. Which she has never done before. She wasn't that desperate.
She shook her head furiously. She was getting off topic again. Stupid brain, stupid life, stupid work, stupid feelings again.
She looked up at the sound of a crow. Her home was directly in front of her.
Wait a second, how?
She spun around, but there was only street. And mist. Why is it always mist?
"Face it, Kyleen. You can do this. He's in prison. Far away. You're safe. He's gone," she muttered to herself.
She cautiously made her way toward the front door. With a click of the lock and turn of the doorknob, the wood swung open. She gasped and fell backwards on the steps, nearly cracking her head against the sidewalk.
Her floor wasn't made of wood anymore. No, instead, bags upon bags upon bags upon bags with the cursed symbol for money all over. His voice rang in her ear.
"I did all of this for you! And for them! And you think you can just kick me out?!"
She sucked in a breath. "No, no, no."
"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"
She began to laugh, high pitched and incredulous.
"I said look at me!"
Her body was jerked forward and up. She went limp with the manhandling.
"Ky!" someone called far away. "Ky, are you okay?!"
Kyleen ignored them. Until they called her again with tight taps to her face. She blinked and the scene around her vanished, replaced by Stephen's face leaning over her. She gasped and pushed away.
"Easy, easy," he whispered. "You passed out, are you okay?"
Passed out?
"...I'm..." she glanced around at her other coworkers. "...fine."
Stephen smiled. "That's good."
Without even a warning, he was kissing her.
