POEM STARTER
If wishes fell like rain, then certainly I am a storm.
Write a poem with this as the opening or closing line.
Apologies for the WishStorm
If wishes fell like rain,
Then certainly I am a storm.
I am a rainstorm
Filled of large, full drops.
Each one splashing hard
against the pavement
And splattering
From the impact.
The wishes I rain down
onto the world are numerous.
Those caught outside unawares
Would call it a torrential downpour.
But for me, I think it is more
Iike a torrential _OUT_-pour.
Each wish forms and falls,
Forms and falls.
They drop as fast
As thoughts can form.
Each individual
_splish_, _splash_, and _patter_
Joins together in an endless roar.
If wishes fell like rain…
Then I am **most certainly** a storm.
My thoughts chain
In flashes of lightning.
The backlash of each crack
Is loud, rumbling thunder.
I have enough wishes
I could cover every land mass.
I could drown the world in wishes,
Turning everything to oceans.
The story of the world
Living on an Ark
Would become real life.
I wish for myself.
But not just for me…
I wish for my lover,
My family, my friends.
I wish for strangers
And acquaintances.
I wish for the world.
… For Mother Nature.
So, if wishes begin to fall like rain,
I apologize for the storm.
