I still don't know what color your eyes are. Sometimes they're the colour of marble at the bottom of a fountain. Sometimes they're as grey as turbulent seas. But it doesn't matter the color, they shine when you smile at me. They look through me. They look past me. Sometimes I'm afraid of them. Sometimes I get lost in them. They intimidate me. They threaten to expose me. But your eyes are only a piece of a puzzle. Your playful smile softens them. It soothes their glare and offers me solace. I'll always watch those eyes, though, just in case.
