Words are wasted on those who do not listen.

Will not listen

Can’t be arsed to listen

I should know I’m a teacher

My dream to inspire

My hopes to create excitement and adventure and a thirst for knowledge

My reality to repeat myself until even I find my voice boring.

To say the same thing sixteen ways and still not get a response

BUT

And here’s the thing there is always at least one smiling face and nodding head.

At least one soul like me who loves the way that numbers dance and sing and make beautiful logical pure sense.

At least one who hears the music in the patterns.

And for that ‘at least one’ I keep going because words are never wasted.

Even on those who will not listen

Because they may not care but a little knowledge is seeping through their ears, their pores and into their being.

I still dream, I still hope and yup I still care.
