POEM STARTER

“Cold water feels warm when you're freezing.“
Buried Alive
Cold water feels warm
When you’re freezing,
As wheezing feels lively
When you’re dying.
6 feet under,
Yet I still wonder,
What is life
When you’re dead?
6 feet under,
Yet I hold out hope
That someone will hear my cries,
That they’ll see
I’m still alive.
Crying is comforting
When you’ve been sobbing
Your whole life.
Nightmares can be dreamy
When your life in the waking world
Is nothing short of hell.
Death is rebirth
When your life is
Barely lived.
So I cease my cries,
Never will I rise,
Sinking below 6 feet under
Feels like ascending
To the heavens.
As I rot here, alone,
I smile,
For why frown
When the only way out
Is down?
