VISUAL PROMPT

Tasked with hosting your friend's engagement celebration, you throw an elaborate party in a forest.

This was my first writing ever on the app.
“Wow, it’s amazing.” The Bride, Lily, steps on the pavement of her brightly decorated wedding venue. She couldn’t let Amanda know that this horrid mess made her want to kill her. There was no going back know her wedding was in 30 minutes.
Everyone would arrive and she this. She should have never left her dressing room.
“It’s great right?” The Maid Of Honor, Amanda, takes a step closer to her master piece.
Lanterns shone bright neon orange light. Table cloths so brightly pink that you can barely see the white plates. The stairs wrapped in a neon yellow that clashes with the light brown.
The bride smiles. The only thing she liked about this was that in chalk it said, “Lily and Gary, she always wanted to be the princess he always wanted to be the knight. April 14.” That smile quickly turned into a frown.
“Amanda, todays date is Apri-“ She was cutoff by her husband.
“Who decorated this? It looks like the 80’s threw up on it! How are we supposed to take photos if everything will be to bright!? How are we supposed to walk down the aisle without falling because we are blinded!?” Gary put on his sunglasses and turned to look at Amanda. “You your the one who did this. How could you possibly think that this is OK decorating for a wedding?!” He took a step closer. “You are no longer welcome to my WEDDING!” He thrusted his finger at her then at the door.
Tears in her eyes, Amanda ran to the door, Lily tried to follow her but Gary shook his head. Lily ran the other direction to her dressing room. Not even sure if she should finish and put on her dress.
**THE WEEK AFTER THE WEDDING**
Gary was asleep on his bed dreaming about a world where money just came to you in a box and you didn’t need to work. Lily was out shopping, no one else was in the house. Or so Gary thought.
Amanda crept through his kitchen, then his living room, then his dining room, and finally reached his bedroom. She admired him from the doorway. Sleeping so peacefully. Then crept up to his bedside. Bright Neon streamers and tape in hand she began to wrap.
First his feet, legs, stomach, chest, shoulders, and head. She left a hole for his mouth, nose and eyes.
At this point he was awake but he couldn’t move. He was trapped in neon. Amanda left the room. Then came back this time with a knife. Gary’s eyes opened wide. Amanda took her hand and closed them. Then took the knife and left a deep slit in his throat.
Here’s how I would write it now.
_It looks-_
__
_Great? Amazing? The best thing you’ve ever seen?_
__
_Yes! All that and a neon sign._
__
The wedding venue was covered in neon colored streamers.
Lily couldn’t bear to tell her bestfriend that it looked ugly.
Amanda had been so exited when Lily had given her this job.
Lily looked up.
My god! Even the lanterns were neon green!
Her wedding was in the 20s!
Not the 80s!
But there was no chance in fixing it.
Her wedding was in 30 minutes.
It would take her that long just to have a mental breakdown about her hair.
Lily turned to the dinning room- which she spwished she hadn’t.
The tables were tightly wrapped in bright neon pink table cloths.
She looked down at the floor. Another bad idea.
There was neon flower petals all down the carpet.
And exactly two bright orange ones placed on each chair.
Though when she looked at the floor again she noticed something written in a silvery chalk.
_Lily*Gary_
_She always wanted to be the princess, he always wanted to be the knight._
_April 14_
__
_That’s lovely!_
__
__
She exclaimed.
Then quickly realized that it was the wrong date.
_Honey, today’s date is Ap-_
__
__
Gary stormed in.
_What has happened to the venue!? It looks like a disco party!_
__
__
He turned to Amanda and pointed a finger to her chest.
_Were you aware that the colors were white and silver?! I want you out of my wedding! NOW!_
__
__
He though his finger to the door.
Amanda walked out sobbing.
Lily tried to follow her but Gary blocked her path.
Gary was asleep on his couch.
Knocked out from his honeymoon.
Lily was shopping.
They had no kids, so he was home alone.
Until Amanda showed up.
Knife in hand.
She carefully crept up to the couch, her footsteps silent.
She seized the moment.
Amanda wrapped Gary’s head and body with neon streams.
He couldn’t move.
All he could do was watch in horror.
First she stabbed him in the finger he used to point at the door.
Then she stabbed the hand and twisted the knife around.
She stabbed his legs, stoamch, feet, everywhere.
Then she was done.
She walked behind him and held the knife to his forehead.
Amanda finished the job.
She jabbed the knife in a total of eight times then shoved the knife as far down as she could.
