'The Lake'. Write a crime, mystery, or horror story about what happened at this location.
The Lake.
People in Raven’s Reach usually advise to not go in the lake. Nobody knows why.
“Maybe,” said my friend, Luna, “someone DIED in it.”
That was the most stupid thing i’ve ever heard in my life.
“That makes zero sense. If someone DID die there, wouldn’t the police already have taken out the body?” I replied.
“Yeah that makes sense.”
“Hey. What are you two talking about?” Said our other friend, Stella, who just arrived.
“Oh, nothing. We’re just talking about reasons why we can’t go in the lake.” I answered her.
“Well, we could try and do some research about it after school!”
“That sounds great!” Luna said.
7 hours later, at the lake.
“Welp, that wasn’t very informative.” I said.
“ugh! I thought the internet could help us..” said Luna.
“Guys!” Exclaimed Stella.
Me and Luna looked at her.
“Come on! There’s **obviously** nothing there. And we’re already here anyways! Let’s go swim!” She continued.
“Wow, that’s a good idea!”
As we walked closer to the lake, it started getting darker and quieter. Police tape covered the entire entrance, but Stella grabbed it and trew it away like it was nothing.
“Aren’t you coming in?” Asked Luna.
“Uh, yeah! In a sec!”
I lied.
I never liked swimming ever since i was a kid and almost drowned. I was about to turn around abd go home, but it was already too dark, I couldn’t go back like now.
I entered the water.
“Wow!” I said. “I haven’t had this much fun in years!” I exclaimed with a smile in my face.
“H-huh?”
Something had grabbed my leg.
“Guys! T-this isn’t funny!”
But they were too far away to hear.
As far as i knew, it was just us in the lake! What was it? **Who** was it?
“WOAH!”
It pulled me into the water. I looked down, it was a GIGANTIC creature with eyes that even though it was dark, they were still glowing.
It was very strong, I couldn’t run away.
“Huh? Where did Flora go?”
“I don’t know.”
I heard my friends saying.
We were almost at the ground, i was almost with no air. The floor was full of skeletons. I soon would be one of them too. And my friends would too. And I couldn’t do anything about it. Now i knew why we weren’t allowed to swim there.
