“We have to give it back..” With shaky hands, I stood in front of Kameka. She growled lowly in her throat. "Give them back their Godforsaken powers? Alejandro!" In a swift motion, she grasped my shoulders, shaking me violently. "We're in power for once in our lives! Think about all of the bad things they've done to us." Kameka took a hand off, swirling a white bedded light from off her hands.
"But my love-" I shook my head, taking that open hand. "They gave us eternal life. They gave us everything! Sure, they killed a few people, but they were disobedient. They weren't like us. Now that we have the upper hand, I can't help but feel a sense of guilt for them." I retorted back at Kameka. I knew she never meant harm to any of the Divine Goddesses- but she was taking this too far.
Kameka screeched. "Why don't you ever listen to me!?" She raked a hand through her black hair, spilling it down her face. "This is our chance to be the ones worshipped. This is our chance to make our own religion! Nobody will be forced to follow the Divine Goddesses anymore- just us!" Her eyes were a wild ombre color, extending the more she talked. As much as I hate to admit it, she looked crazy.
She started to levitate again. Her darkened finger tips seemed to threaten me. "Fine." I settled it. "Fine."
Kameka smiled, touching the floor again. "Good. You don't want to be disobedient, do you?" Her stale words hung in the air.
