POEM STARTER
A photo booth camera captures the moment when a girl confesses something to her friend.
In a poem or short story, describe the image and let the readers infer the nature of the confession.
A Love Story
The girls walked through the mazes of rides
They never went on any
But just the choice of so many
Was enough for none
No they wanted more
She
The one people called perfect
Each time she pretended
She wanted the courage
To be brave enough to ask her
She
With brown coils cut short
With scissors she had used one to many times
She wanted she wanted what her heart thought was impossible
She just needed a sign
Anything really
To latch her hope onto
And so together they wandered but it was more quiet this time
They both were to busy wishing
Gazing in the others eyes
Photo Booth!
One of them said
Their bodies edged closer together as they sat down
She
The one people called perfect
Was biting her nails
She
The one with brown curls cut short
Was nervously observing every action
the camera flashed
They were caught by suprise
But then they realized they didnt have much time
And She
The one people called perfect leaned into to kiss
She
The one with brown curls cut short
Was already leaning in
And there bodies intertwined for three more flashes
They stepped out their bodies closer than before
As they walked through the world with choices of so many
But they them together
Was just enough
