POEM STARTER
Write an ABC poem about a day in the life of an animal.
The lines of an ABC poem begin with different letters of the alphabet, progressing through alphabetical order, although the poem does not have to start at A.
A To Free
All day long…
Bored.
Can’t leave.
Don’t have a choice.
Everyday,
Fighting the urge to end it…
Going crazy.
Hell.
I’m in Hell.
Just look at me…
King of jungle?
Look at me…
My life is a lie.
No more hunting,
Only walls.
Please,
Quit the charade,
Rename me to domesticated cat.
Sitting here idly,
Thinking…
Until one day,
Violent ends will eventuate.
Watch.
X rated gore throughout the cage.
You either dream it or go insane.
Zoo life isn’t for me.
