Turn a mundane activity like household chores into a heart-pumping, action-packed tale!
Mother Earth
I tugged the hamper of laundry through the hallway and angrily threw it into the washing machine. “Uhh!!” I groaned.
“Mackenzie!!” Melissa called out my from her office.
“Sorry!” I yelled back. She called me again. I dumped over the hamper into the washing machine and started it. The low rumble of thunder and rain pounded outside.
“Yeah?” I opened the office door. A gun pushed me down. My eyes danced across the room. Melissa was halfway out the window, rain flooded over the brand new wooden floors. The two men yelled in some foreign language to each other. Latin?
I slowly scooted out of the way, my eyes peering to the side at the precariously positioned mop. A grin pulled at my lips. My foot kicked up and the mop came ceadhingdown.
Water assisted my way out of the tight hallway. I bolted into the kitchen, pulling a knife out of the utensil drawer. I ran out into the backyard. The one time it sucks to live in the middle of nowhere. Plus, in tornado alley.
Wind whipped around the farm. My head flipped back to there house. My roof was whacking. Individual shingeles ripped of and smashed into the earth.
I looked back down at the shattered back door. Two black eyes beamed into my soul. Melissa. The dead body of my sister. My twin. My last member of my family. Mellisa. Then a bullet skinned my arm. I was cornered. All was against me. Mother Earth sucked me away into her emerald grasp.
