STORY STARTER

The main characters are stuck in a labyrinth; it has no exit, but they do not know that.

Write their story; how can such a story end?

The Edge Lord, The Honor Roll, and The Trust Fund.

"It's all your fault we're trapped in here, so we are NOT following your ideas." Onyx spat as he crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the brunette who threw his hands up in response.

"How was I supposed to know that the door would automatically shut! You're the one who wanted to come here anyway! Always going on and on about how you wanted to go on an adventure because it'd be fun and exciting." The brunette threw his arms out in frustration, meeting Onyx's eyes with a dead panned look as he felt the back of his head being smacked and heard another smack second after his.

"Both of you, shut up. It doesn't matter how we got here. We just need to get out," the third member of the group butted in. She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed as she tried to formulate a plan.

Onyx grumbled under his breath before looking around to see what was actually happening around them. They were surrounded by brick walls that were twice the height he was, and he was the tallest. They were covered in thick, dark green vines that he could try to climb and maybe get a vantage point to see which way they needed to go. The ground was plain dirt that had been semi-packed down with footprints.

"Hey, guys," Onyx started as he pointed to the ground, "we aren't the only ones in this predicament." He watched as both Gabriel and Leila looked to where he was pointing and followed the trail of footprints down the path.

Leila closed her brown eyes and let out a breath, "Great. That's fantastic. Now we don't know if there's other people coming to kill us, or if they're trapped in here with us." Gabriel winced at her sharp tone as he rubbed the back of his neck and let out an awkward laugh.

"We probably shouldn't have yelled at each other, huh?" The brunette said as his way of apologizing. Onyx and Leila knew they'd have to be on their death beds to hear Gabriel apologize.

"I'm gonna try to climb the vines to see if I can see anything up there." Onyx blurted out, dancing around the subject completely. He placed his hand on the vine and began to climb up the foliage.

Leila watched him for a few seconds before looking around to see if she could make any makeshift weapons before hearing Gabriel gasp and a thud that followed suit.

"Don't climb the vines." She heard Onyx hiss out as she glanced over to him and seeing the palms of his hands looking red and inflamed. Her eyes widened as she rushed over to him, grabbing one of his wrists to pull his hand closer to her for inspection.

She pulled her bottom lip inbetween her teeth and studied the swollen flesh of his hand before pulling out a pen she kept in her pocket. She clicked the pen and circled the area. "If it goes past the pen, let me know."

"If he dies first, can we eat him?" Gabriel piped up, his voice a bit muffled as he was crouched down and scanning the ground around him.

"You are not going to eat me!" Onyx yelled back before Leila smacked his arm, causing the black haired teen to shoot a glare at her.

"Keep your voice down, edge lord!" Leila scolded in a whisper-yell as she started to inspect the vines and noticed that they were covered in a sparse, white fuzz in the places where Onyx hadn't touched, but the leaves were a completely vibrant green.

She plucked off a leaf and began rubbing it on a spot on her forearm. She had no reaction to it, even after waiting for a moment. "I think the vines themselves may be poisonous, but not the leaves. Tell me if you feel like you're dying, Nyx." She said as she collected more of the green plant from the walls.

Gabriel's head snapped over to her. "Gloves, Leila! We can make gloves out of the leaves, and one of us can climb up!"

"And what are we going to make the gloves out of, honor roll?" She said, placing a hand on her hip and rolling her eyes.

"Shut up, trust fund!" Gabriel snapped back as he sat down on the ground. "We could make makeshift gloves out of our clothes, but I don't know if the poison will go through. Plus, we wouldn't want to wear them after because it could contact transfer like poinson ivy." He mumbled after, digging his finger around in the dirt.

Leila was about to respond, but instead jumped and let out a yelp as a hand landed on her shoulder. "I think I'm dying." Onyx said as he looked to the blonde girl infront of him who turned around to check on him.

She saw that his pupils were blown out to where she could barely see the normal green hue that was apart of his eyes. She let out a snort of laughter and covered her face, turning away so Onyx wouldn't see the smile that crept onto it.

Gabriel furrowed his eyebrows, and looked up to see them, his brown eyes meeting Leila's. "What's goin' on with him that's so funny?" He asked.

"He's not going to die!" She responded as she let out another laugh, "but he's going to have some fun times with hallucinations!"

Onyx blinked a few times, his face going pale as he pointed in the direction both he and Leila were facing. "Guys," he warned as he started backing up.

Gabriel was the first to look behind him, definitely seeing what Onyx was seeing. Leila was the last to look as she looked at Onyx before looking to where he was pointing.

Fifty yards ahead of them stood a creature that sat there waving at them. They couldn't see him well, but they could tell he was massive by how much of his body took up the room in the spacious labrynth walls.

Leila grabbed Onyx by the wrist and started running down a path, motioning Gabriel to follow them. They kept going down each and every turn they could with a pattern of left, left, right. Onyx nearly tripped and fell a few times, but managed to stay on his feet.

When they finally stopped to catch their breath, they looked around and realized that Gabriel wasn't with them. "Stupid, honor roll!" Leila yelled as she ran a hand through her hair and shut her eyes. "Think, Leila, think!"

Meanwhile, Gabriel was still stuck where he was. His body was struck cold and frozen in fear. He held his breath as he heard the pair's footsteps slowly grow quieter until he couldn't hear them anymore.

The creature never moved from it's spot. It only sat there with a menacing stature and kept waving. It seemed like another hour to Gabriel before the creature's head turned abruptly and began to slowly move out of view, something dark and shimmery trailing behind it.

Gabriel immediately pulled out his phone to send a text to Leila.

'SHUT UP I THINK IT ONLY RESPONDS TO VOICES'

He let out a shaky breath and turned off his ringer to be safe, slipping the phone back into his pocket. There were so many questions in his head. Where did they go? What was that thing? What does it want from us? What is this place and why does it even exist?

If he ever got out of here, he was never leaving his hometown again.

Leila had heard her phone go off, and she pulled it out of her pocket to see the message. She pursed her lips and looked to Onyx and held a finger over her mouth for him to be quiet. He responded by puffing out his cheeks like a kindergartner being told to hold their bubble.

'where are you?' She had responded to him, and immediately started looking around for any sign of the creature they had just seen.

Her face went pale as she looked to her right and saw the creature about ten feet ahead of them.

It was tall, covered in long, black hair that covered it's body shape with an exception to it's six toes that weren't englufed by the hair. It's face was covered in hair that was shorter and white that let them see the grusome facial features of the monster. There was no nose, lips that were parted into a huge smile which revealed jagged, yellow teeth, and the eyes which reminded Leila of one of those soulless teddy bears you buy during valentine's day.

She couldn't help the shriek that came from her body as she booked it to the left, leaving Onyx behind.

Onyx looked over towards the creature and gave it a curt nod before bolting in a different direction, only for his vision to go black. He had run directly into a wall that he thought was another way out.

It was only a matter of time before the creature got to them all. Everything in the labrynth was built specifically for people to break the peaceful silence. The vines were poisonous and grown to cause hallucinations. There were bear traps set in random intersections that would automatically reset after a certain amount of time. There was a fountain in the middle filled with a liquid that looked like water, but if touched would dissolve any organic material in seconds.

No one would survive. No one could out run the demon that laid claim to labrynth. The only thing that ever chnaged was how long it took.
