Familiar whispers deeply cleansed my mind,

As I watched the sun slowly decline

In faithful light.

Silver shadows outlined my physique,

Suffocating the luminosity,

Then all went bleak.

A blanket of algae covered the stone,

Masking the light air that had once blown.

Perfect candles were set alight,

Flickering welcoming warmth

That eased stressed minds.

Taking in its fresh odours that lingered,

Even in night or day,

It’s presence decided to stay.
