This is **very** out of my comfort zone

But it’s bothering me so much

It’s making my brain hurt

But my brain is doing its own thing

And others might be in the same position as me

Others might be confused with me

But do I really care about other people’s opinions?

NOPE!

I’ve had a lot of questions in life

But these are the best ones

Genuine ones

Things that most people might never know the answers to

Today I went to church

For the first time in so long

I was kinda forced to

A friend was “peaing on my window”

And yes

I mean peaing like peas 🫛

But anyways

That’s not the point

The pastor was talking

Talking about how Jesus is the light of the world

I think

Or something along those lines

But I was sitting there

Listening

Then zoning out

Just thinking

About how the world began

And I started reading Genesis a while ago

And in science at school

I’ve learned about fossils and evolution and stuff like that

It made me think

If the bible says the world began with modern day animals and humans

How are they still around

And not extinct?

What happened to dinosaurs

And all those extinct animals?

They’re not in the bible

So where does it fit in?

Science and the bible are like 2 different puzzles

And if you take a puzzle piece from each one

They don’t fit together

Even if they do

They won’t make the right picture

I’ve always “believed” in God

But now that I think about it

I only did

Because my family does

Not even my whole family

Only half

And I feel like I’m stuck in the middle

The whole time at church today

I was trying to figure out

Where dinosaurs fit in with what was in the bible

It didn’t make sense to me at all

And I still have unanswered questions

Is God actually real?

How does any of this make any sense?

Do other people think about this?

How did the world really begin?

Why do people believe in God?

Is the bible just a big story book?

Is God like Santa and the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny?

Just a lie that people believe?
