POEM STARTER

In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

Write a poem ending with this line.

Simplicity

Not petting my cat this morning,

Or saying “I love you” to my family one more time even if anger exists or it’s annoys them to hear it fifteen more times that day.

Not going to the gym,

Or giving that car time to pass,

Taking the time to smile at the giggling child,

Maybe not trying the new food,

Or going out with an old friend.

Could it be the one phone call you didn’t pick up?

The day you didn’t stay late,

Or when you didn’t make your bed?

Sometimes I don’t feel like writing- I missed eight years worth of words strung together.

The one pause we overlooked was the chance missed.

Or did you take yours today?
