POEM STARTER
How could something so small take up so much space in my heart?
Compose a poem inspired by this question.
In your eyes
In your eyes,
I wonder what I'm like
In your eyes.
If there's another eye
besides mine
that you fancy
If there is, should I take notes?
Should I get lessons?
On how to make your eyes see me
As a person worth your love
A confession.
Another time I wouldn't care,
But now I want you to be mine
Forget it, I wanna share.
If she's yours, and so am I
How can we both be worth loving to you
In your eyes?
Do I need more fixing?
Am I more of a work in progress?
Does she look further ahead than me?
Less trouble, less of a mess?
Is she a work of art?
Maybe something I am not?
Tell me what do you see In her,
In your eyes
In front of me
Your eyes lie.
In front of me your eyes cannot deny.
They're not lost, They're not confused,
shes your choice, and I'm just the one
Thats being used.
In your eyes, I am nothing.
In my eyes, you were in my imagination
Whispering sweet nothings.
