Daddy issues
When i was 3 you took my fork.
i still remember that.
When I was 8, “daddy daughter dance”.
Mom offered to ask her friend to take me, but wouldn’t have been the same like everybody else.
_Eleven_. “Mom can you ask dad if he can call?”
she asks, and tells him what day it is.
“Im pretty busy right now, maybe later. but happy birthday.”
_Twelve_. Add him on facebook.
No “Add friend” or “friends”. just _“CANCEL REQUEST”_

Two years later. “Mom he added me back!!”
_Fifteen_. I want to know more about me.
I have the face of someone i don’t even know.
I ask questions.
“Do you want to form a relationship?”
“yes.”
March 19. “Happy birthday dad.”
