'Silence was a priceless gift'

Write a poem which features this line.

Silence

Finally I can breathe. At last I’m not engulfed in the nosies that surround me constantly in the city. At last I’m not taking in all the exhaust from the silver boxy vehicles that all look the same. At last I see real light, not the artificial type that is ever present in my home and at work. At last time can slow down, I can rest. I have nowhere to go, no time to keep, and no one who will be looking for me.

Grass-I haven’t touched grass in a while. The trees I can see clearly, no longer blurred to green mush while I pass them speeding down the highway. Up close, each leaf has its own design. They are all unique. And the wild flowers, they are all different, some purple, some pink, others yellow.

Silence is what my heart has been longing for. Waiting for. Living for. I’ve made it home, a new house, but a home all the same. And it’s given me the greatest gift I’ve ever received. silence.
