Write a Petrarchan Sonnet on the theme of Autumn.
A Petrarchan Sonnet has 14 lines; the first 8 must have a rhyme scheme ABBAABBA, the last 6 can have variable rhymes, but are normally split into 2 sets of 3 lines.
Autumn Petrarchan Sonnet
There’s a sadness in summer’s end;
Red and brown,
A misty town,
The feeling of losing a friend
And there is beauty in autumn’s start;
Crisp, fresh sky,
Mountains high,
Embers igniting inside your heart
Winter and spring
Dance and sing
Celebrating everything
Wet and dry
Laugh and cry
Watch the seasons go on by
