POEM STARTER
Out of Reach
Write a poem about something that always seems just out of reach.
Nobody Knows
We gain temptations,
and curiosity—
when we see those walls
and gates.
The closer we get,
the more our minds tick.
It’s beyond the challenges
that might even blossom.
We gain more temptations
when it’s always prohibited.
And so we ask—
endless questions.
Maybe…
we’ll find freedom.
Maybe…
we’ll find safety.
But are the gates and walls
trying to protect us?
Or trying to hide us—
from the eyes of humanity?
Could it be better,
or worse?
We want to know.
So let us run free,
let our wings fly,
let our bodies sense
the calming breeze
of this adventurous spark.
We want to walk side by side,
holding our hands tightly,
like one human armor.
We might be happy here,
too happy that it gets tiring.
The gates and walls in front of us—
so crystal clear.
While the world behind us
is blurry and crumbling.
Nobody knows.
