Her
I’ve always been quiet compared to most, just like her. Her hair was always perfectly brushed, and looked liked if fresh chocolate chip cookies were a color. She always sat in the circular table by the window at that coffee shop. Everyday she would go there and order a large soy latte with a vanilla scone. It was a routine for her and I, but she would never know that.
Then he came in. I never liked him. She is to good for him, but she would never realize. He sat down next to her and ordered something from the waitress, and as she walked away I saw him staring at her walk away for to long. His eyes lingered on the short jean shorts the waitress has on, and I can see her watching you stare. She never says anything about it to him, but I can tell she’s uncomfortable by her shifting her position in the wooden chair. If I saw right, she just cleared her throat to make you focas back on her. He looks away from the waitress and back at her. Ugh. When will she learn that she could do so much better then that low life douchebag. One day i’ll walk into that coffee shop, and i’ll make sure im the one sitting next to you everyday instead of him. I’m sure of it. After you two talk for a bit about things that don’t matter, he walks out. I watch her pack up her computer in her lavender backpack that she’s had for two years now. It has a coffee stain from when someone on the subway was drunk, and spilled a espresso on it. She walks out of the coffee shop in knitted white sweater and dark brown skirt that matches her eyes. Tomorrow i’ll walk into the coffee shop, and not the crappy place across the street. I never liked that pizza place, but if i could watch her across the street, it was worth it. I’ll see her tomorrow, and I’ll sit next to her because he will be gone. It’s time I get to work, and take care of… business.
