POEM STARTER

If Desires Are A Flame
If desires are a flame, then I am a wildfire.
If truth always explodes, then kingdoms never end.
If the sky withholds its rain, the earth will starve to death.
I am eager to unfurl my wings, to discover the world.
I rise just beyond the horizon—
Only to be pulled back to the place I began.
Like Moana, I watch the world from a distance.
Only my tears keep me company.
The sand that blows around my feet hides them well,
Trying to lift me up—yet I crumble to my knees.
I am too heavy for the earth to hold.
By day, I chase the sun;
By night, I sit with the moon until I fall asleep.
In dreams, my soul finds rest—
Living a life full of purpose, passion, and presence.
Far from the caves of confinement, I reign in wonder,
Among endless adventures—
Regrets, mistakes, mysteries,
And hidden moments like buried gems.
So, if desires are a flame,
Then I am a wildfire—
Burning kingdoms,
So time may discover and delude.
