"By the ancient blood witches!" Mara's nails scrapped against the cobblestone floor until she felt the familiar sensation of her bumpy oak bookshelf on her back as one of her potions began liquefying a beige carpet that she had stood on only moments prior. Mara pinched the bridge of her nose as the stench of sulfur caused her eyes to flood with tears and she instantaneously regretted including fairies' wings in the ingredients of her newest destroyed masterpiece.

Abruptly, Mara felt a cool sensation on her lower calf, and when she looked down made out the blurry lines of a small round light purple blob with two black eyes staring at her. "Cosmo! Seriously? Do you know how time consuming it is to create a liquefying potion," Mara continued to scold the slime without hesitating for a reply as she grumbled "I had to tear off the wings of fairies when their wings are essentially imbedded into their skeletons!" Cosmo's eyes never strayed from the involuntary tears escaping Mara's eyes even as the slime slowly proceeded to open the oak door of their cottage within Delor Forest. "Thanks Cos," Mara sighed as Cosmo returned to his place on her calf with a satisfied sparkle in his eyes upon seeing her tears gone.
