Run.
Bone chilling rain showered from the sky above, the clouds full of vengeful thunder. It was the long bolt of lightning that crackled against the night sky that revealed a building to the left, just bright enough to glimpse that it seemed to be long forgotten. She turned and raced, the mud splattering beneath her with each stomp of her boot, the branches wrapping their fingers around her snapping and cutting into exposed flesh, ripping away shreds of fabric to expose more skin. She bounded over the steps of the porch and began ripping away the vines covering the derelict door, nails splitting and fingers throbbing she stepped a few paces backwards and thrust her shoulder forward. She slammed through the doorway the frame cracking away and entered cover from the raging storm outside. Eyes adjusting to the dark scanning as fast as she could while slowly making her way further in, the air seemed stagnant, someone left this place for a reason. The pungent air seemed to grow heavier and colder the further in she walked, within a few paces from the door clouds started to form with each breath she took. Something wasn't right, nothing was right, but this was worse than wrong. The hair on the back of her neck rose and the floorboards beneath her feet quietly moaned. She reached around her back into the side pocket of her bag retrieving one of the small flashlights. Turning on the light she scanned the rooms around, it seems the person who had lived her left in a rush. Glass shattered along the floor, drawers pulled out completely and object strewn throughout the kitchen, they must've been looking for something or someone else was. Upstairs wasn't any better but there was bed with a pillow and a blanket and a door with a functioning lock. Despite the eerie feeling this place was providing her, for tonight, it would have to do.
