A scientist creates a robot with near-human sentience, but realises that it is lonely...

I finally did it. My life’s work was complete. I had invented the first robot who’s computer AI was constantly advancing itself based on its surroundings. She was perfect. And completely customizable, with different upgrades you could change her hair, skin color, body type, what she said her pronouns were or whatever else this crazy world wanted. You could even change what she was attracted to. She opened her eyes, which were also completely custom. I picked out some turquoise ones with gold around the iris. They matched well with her wavy brown hair and gold lowlights. In many ways being an inventor and being a fashion designer are very much the same. All of our products are designed to sell themselves. I sat across from her and started running diagnostics. I had left her alone in a warehouse to see how she would hold up. So far she had cleaned every inch of the place and started working on building her new sister based on my plans. I frowned down at my computer, there was a inconsistency in the emotional processing center of her brain. If she had been a human, it might be discribed as loneliness, but that wasn’t possible. I brushed it off, and left for home, hoping everything would be fine.
The last time I saw her was on the news for breaking into a hospital.
