POEM STARTER

Submitted by Hailey

Create a poem about a shape you see in the clouds.

The Fisherman

I see.

A sea.

The white, the blue, the hues.

It is all pristine.

Marshmallows stretched.

Molds, but not moldy.

Vast with a cast of a rod.

Into the endless.

A ship.

Can a car go?

Where is the ship meant to be?!

Why such play on speech?

I love clouds.

Pillows that drift forever.

Polygons, they pass.

Concave, convex—I am perplexed.

I fish here.

But they elsewhere.

Beyond the cloudy stream.
