She spoke to the roots

To the vines, the stems, the leaves

To the flowers, the pollen, the fruit

Life replied

She spoke to the stones

To the marble, the granite, the gems

To the molten, the solid, the dust

Earth replied

She spoke to the air

To the snow, the rain, the clouds

To the humid, the dry, the breeze

Sky replied

She spoke to the people

Of the forgotten, of the lost, of the discarded

Of the real, of the present, of the natural

Noone replied.
