Winner And Losers

Going going gone

I wonder who won

When they auctioned the sun

And we inherited pain

They called us to bid

Let’s be fair we nearly did

But in the dark we stayed hid

And now we are stuck in the rain

The smiling winners sail past

The rest of us are stuck fast

As ever doomed to be last

And we seem to be losing again
