POEM STARTER
In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.
Write a poem ending with this line.
One Room
One room,
One chair,
One light,
And everyone I’ve ever known
Searching the crowd
Hello’s and how do you do’s in the distance
But eyes set on one thing
One person
One reason
Stoped in my tracks
A hand on my shoulder
One on my arm
Slowly being pulled away from this existence
THERE
I found him
For the first time
in many years
We lock eyes
Like a key in a door
One million words
Yet not a single one spoken
One million what ifs
Yet only one possibility
Still that pulling
More hands
Encapsulating my body
Everything becoming blurry
But my will keeps me here
All just for one person
Here he comes
The one person
That when in a room of a million and one
He is the one I always look for
I can’t hold on much longer
But oh how I would give anything
Just for
One minute
One coffee
One moment
And as this reality fades
So do my memories
And I hear one sentence of advice
All before its gone
In the end,
We only regret the chances we didn’t take
so say goodbye to
One room
One chair
One moment
One memory
