The Sea Is My Father (chpt. 4)
(Authors note: This is a character from a series I might do. Btw if any of y'all remember, about a month ago [I think] I made a writing called House of Spades, I had said I was going to make it into a series. I may add it to this story or after im finished with this turn it into its own series. Tell me in the comment, if you want to, which you think may be better.)

Water is lapping between my chin and neck, each wave colliding with each beat of my racing heart. The water was cold, making me want to die. I tried to remember what I was doing here, in this eerie cave. I had a faint memory of being here with my brother. They were on vacation, the summer after their mom had drowned at the California Bea… oh no. As the water was about to swallow her whole she recalled a memory. They were at the same beach, watching people scream from a little girl with one of those shark fins on her back. Me and mom always expected the ongoing trend. Then Mom took me to a cave where we sat before the tide came in. Then I ran to get some kind of snack or something. When I came back the tide had risen. I looked for my mother in the water. When I found her, her breathing had stopped. Her heart had given up. I had screamed, letting the sea know my anger. The current carried me back to the beach, where my brother took us home. Now I was in my mother's shoes. I dove down, trying to reach air. Then I felt as though the sea was pushing me. And the waves crashed in anger as the air reached me.
