If only this world had shown me a little more mercy, instead of tearing my whole life apart. Brick by brick, the wall of safety I built around me fell. And page by page, my story burned.

I thought it would be wonderful here in the Magic realm of Lunarglade, but I was wrong. They all lied.

It all was a lie.

I step forward one last time, nerve pains weave through my whole body as I fall to my knees. The Queen only laughs, stepping up from her throne and making her way to stand in front of me.

“I see how it is,” she says, chillingly, “I told you that you were too weak to save these people. You thought you were the chosen one, the only hero capable of defeating me. But guess what, the whole world doesn’t revolve around you.”

A sob escapes my throat as I stay shaking on the ground, she only laughs, and I can here the grin curling at the corners of her lips.

“So what do you have to say? Hmmm?” She asks.

I let out a long sigh, I knew this day would come, I just thought it would be the other way around.

“I surrender.” I say, all the bravery leaving my body.

She laughs, “Of course you do.” I expect her to hit me, kill me, something, but she doesn’t. She must know what I’m thinking because she looks me in the eyes with a sinister grin and declares, “oh no, I want to keep you around so you can watch the realm you couldn’t save go to hell.”

I close my eyes and wish I was dead.
