POEM STARTER
Write a poem about choosing between following your heart or following your head.
Head Over Heels
The heart falling in love,
It’s ever so lovely,
The heart pulls softly, almost shyly,
A weightless warmth that lifts so high,
A joy that sparks and floods the sky.
Oh how it feels to feel so close,
To someone who would help fold your clothes.
truly happy memories pulled so closely,
But there’s feelings of lonely,
When the mind takes over,
It sure gets ugly,
The back of a vehicle seems so smugly,
When wrapping arms meet, the feeling of free,
Is different from folding into a tree.
When flying in the sky,
You feel so high, right before you lay below.
The feeling of loving is ever so disrupting,
When the confronting is corrupting,
And the heart starts interrupting.
Then comes procrastination, then the lies,
The mind retreats, the heart defies,
One speaks in reason, one in cries.
And in their war, the silence lies.
When you fall head over heels,
And the tear dries.
