Neck bent back

Eyes toward the shadow casted over me

A tear from the eye gazing at my fate

Rolls down my face

Ever so slowly

As the tear falls

My eyes close

And memories flash

Chances not given

Smiles ignored

Opportunities missed

The crow begins to circle lower and lower

Above me

My chest caves in

My knees buckle

My regrets flood my heart

Insecurities won

Joy lost

It’s over

And my life didn’t even start.
