On Top of The World
In this mysterious world,
We often dream with words,
And retreat from actions,
In a world full of hate,
Yet, claim to desire love,
Peoples light get demolished,
Dismantled,
And in most cases,
Damaged,
Which most might never get the opportunity to have it reintroduced to them again.
We often dream of what it takes to get on top,
Feels like a long road trip,
With various obstacles to prevent us to our destination,
At the end of the day,
When we shall not speak of success,
We embody it in our life’s,
When we shall not speak on kindness,
We speak it with action,
When we say “We are on top of the World,”
We mean what we say, and
Claim to be who we say we are,
It won’t be an easy road to follow,
Might lose a lot along the way,
Friends, family, and others,
But,
It’s a sacrifice,
A sacrifice that comes with endless gifts,
Not to those around you necessarily,
But, most importantly,
To yourself.
