The spell broke, and just like that, she could see everything with fresh eyes. The man she had once loved unconditionally and thought she knew better than anyone -even herself-, had been a cruel, heartless monster. His eyes that she once thought she knew as gentle and kind had been icy and unfeeling, his hands stained with blood. Had he always been like this? How could she be so blind??

She looked around the room they shared together like she was seeing it for the first time, the room looking familiar but a lot more like a cage than she once thought…She felt like she was caught in a trap with no way out. She wanted to scream, to cry out for help but she knew that would be a useless effort.
