I hear a knock on my door.

"What is it?"

"Al?" Tinka calls out quietly.

"Come in."

The girl walks in slowly with the teddy that I got her the other day held tightly to her chest. She has tears in her eyes.

I sit up from my bed. "You had another nightmare?"

Tinka nods.

I pat the spot beside me, "Come on."

She doesn’t waste another second, rushing to the bed and tucking herself into my blue satin covers.

She’s been having this recurring nightmare about her mother. Except her mother is unusually tall and scary. Tinka describes her as huge with long brown hair covering her face. She doesn’t understand why she’s having nightmares about her and neither do I. Tinka barely even remembers her Queen Lissa since she died when Tinka was young. Apparently, ever since she arrived to Pryla, it’s started and it won’t stop.

"I’m sorry I woke you up."

"It’s fine, Tink. I wasn’t sleeping anyway." I look down at the little blonde girl now laid down beside me. "Go to sleep." I throw a small fireball at my candles on my desk so it’s less dark. "I’ll make sure the nightmares don’t come."
