I write the life I wish to have;

every line of my notebook is

Ink covered dreams

Wishing desperately to come true.

I write of free happiness,

Where my heart flutters

With unending joy

And ceaseless laughter.

I write of consoling love

That mends my broken heart

Into a beating pulse

Of deep, unconditional love.

This notebook of just mere words

Holds the fate I wish to live;

But words only ever stay words

And dreams only ever stay dreams.
