Zero Hope

Answers I long so desperately for.

Blame I still chase, and guilt even more.

Crying to deaf ears and a blinded heart,

Dying, it seems, is when true living starts.

Everyone knows there’s a price to pay

For all that you keep and refuse to say.

Gracious our king—so humble, so wise.

How do we still choose pain over paradise?

I don’t know how far I’ve managed to come.

Justice, for me, has never meant run.

Kill me, I beg—if anyone’s near.

Looking through glass has never been so clear.

My ancestors lived not guided by fear,

Nor did they let the world break them, year after year.

Or stand by while evil moves without care.

Poets, I beg you—use your words like teeth.

Quiet the voices that call us the freaks.

Render me helpless—I’ll still find my way.

Send me to hell, I’ll find clouds where I lay.

Try being mute for a single whole day.

Understand silence, the hurt, the decay.

Villain and violent—a song from the past.

Why does nothing good ever seem to last?

X’s on their eyes—you’re no longer

one of them.

You tried to escape, but it’s only begun.

Zero hope left for freedom—so call it done.
