POEM STARTER
A photo booth camera captures the moment when a girl confesses something to her friend.
In a poem or short story, describe the image and let the readers infer the nature of the confession.
Platonic Soulmates pt2
I think its pretty obvious
Where this prompt is going
I mean seriously, you know me better than anyone,
Where would my mind be wandering?
So I’m the girl
And you’re the friend
And I know I said we’re platonic soulmates
But what if I want more than that?
What if our 6pm calls are not enough?
What if sitting across from you is not enough?
What if our stupid inside jokes are not enough?
What if I don’t just want part of you, I want the whole thing
Platonic, romantic, and whatevers inbetween
I don’t believe in soulmates,
But if you were a girl I’d call you my queen
And I don’t fall easily
And I don’t usually write love poems
(Not any this long at least)
But I can’t waste another year pretending I don’t feel what I feel
Pretending you don’t make me giddy
And happy
And safe
And everything I used to think I’d never be
And this is embarrassing
It really, truly is
This peom has no rhyme, reason, or rhythm to it
It har no plan or backstory or anything
But I think I just randomly realised
I’m madly in love with my platonic soulmate
To ~O, who I’ll never have the courage to say this to
