STORY STARTER
A tattoo artist can ink your fate onto your skin, but once drawn, it cannot be changed or undone.
Write a story about a character deciding whether to uncover their fate, or leave it open for change.
The Golden Touch
Raj only had one tattoo to seal his fate; he told the artist to write “money and gold”. The next thing he did was buy a lottery ticket. He became a millionaire over night. Then, he invested in up and coming technology companies, and their stocks started to rise. He started a few companies of his own and bankrupted the competition. He bought real estate in New York City and the city rates began to increase until people would bankrupt themselves to live in one of his apartments and shop at his stores.
After his adventure, he looked for a wife and had any woman he desired. He looked for friends and found them agreeable. He stared out of his fake golden tower that he bought in New York, and filled it with real gold.
Near the end, he watched from a far as he paid the poor to build him a pyramid greater than the tombs of old Egypt in the middle of the city, and when he saw it complete, he said: “I have wasted my life.”
