POEM STARTER
Write a poem that is grotesquely romantic.
This could mean a poem that’s overly lovey-dovey, one that has a romantic theme but grotesque imagery, or something else altogether.
364 Days
You love me
How wonderful!
Now I have you in my grasp,
There’s no escape so make it fast,
And make me love you; too.
Teach me to love,
And 364 of these days I’ll be yours.
The last day I’ll take to find,
Someone a bit more refined:
Someone glamorous,
Would be advantageous.
Someone with money and power,
To comfort me in my darkest hour.
With a sharp mind and a quick wit,
Though obviously just a bit,
Less intuitive as me.
So, come dear, and teach me how,
To love you truly as you are now.
For if I can love you as you are,
No other love could be on par.
For every year almost I would be yours,
Til’ that 365th day,
That I take to find out more.
