If only this world had shown her a little more mercy.

If and only if.

There was no reason to be crying over spilled milk. What was done is done. Unluck is unlucky. The gods had cursed her, so what use was there to keep crying and begging for her fate to be turned in her favour? It was the so-called "God's plan" as they had preached on the streets.

No matter how long and how intensely they preached, Asha's hope died down each time. If there truly was a god out there, would they really condemn her to the depths of hell she faced day after day in this never-ending cycle of disconsolate events? Would they truly let her hope ironically continuously wilt?

Asha hopes not. But the ingenuity of "God", can it ever be understood? Perhaps by someone who truly believes, someone like the preachers.

Someone who isn't her.
