Leaving
Honestly, there was really nothing wrong with him once you got to know him. He loved deeply but there wasn't any affection, and how long could a woman be ok with that? Imagine not being held or touched for months at a time. How are you in a relationship and lonely? Now any other woman would have been left because who doesn't want to be held. He's always irritated and angry, he snaps at everything so you learn to leave him be. If you want you talk he's too tired to listen but then you have to listen to him tell the same stories over and over again. All the money he used to make and staying fly with the newest Jordan's on his feet. How he used to have the block on smash and all the times he was locked up. It's as if he longs for that life, not the life we've built together. Our boring life raising our kids, no more drinking, just work and home. Really there is no relationship just co-living coexisting and co-parenting. But oh how I long for that feeling, like when you first fall in love. The intense passion that feels you up inside that makes you never want to leave his side. The butterflies you get when you're about to make love. Deep down inside I know the only way to ever feel that again would be with someone else. This man is incapable of even allowing himself to display love or affection, so it's over I'm leaving.
