The writer stared at the post-it on the wall. She knew it would change her life for the far, far worse.

“See me.”

It was a note from her boss. She had published a story the other day to an event she hadn’t actually attended. She just quickly looked up short clips of everyone else that was there and tried to make it as believable as possible.

Maybe someone had snitched and now her boss knows she lied about the entire thing. She can’t tell anyone what she was really doing. There’s honestly no excuse to be made. No one at work was at the event.
